Tom Riddle, Bob Harman and Martha Helen and other classmates! Bill Percy (standing left), has his back to the camera.

We have so many great pictures now in our Albums. First I received 1985 reunion pictures from Janet (Gregory)Percy and then she sent an entire yearbook. Don King sent an entire yearbook, Bob Harman sent all kinds of great pictures and in addition sent some Bellflower, Liege and Wellsville pictures. Marjorie (Lotton) Henry has sent pictures from the 1985, 1993, and 1999 reunions, Eileen (Cullom) Means has spread the word and helped Bobby on his trip to Bellflower this Spring to take all those pictures- she has been relentless in helping us get information. Also, Shirley (Morris) Duncan has had great words of encouragement and will look for even more pictures for our little Albums. I am having so much fun looking at these pictures and I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do. We have tons of new pictures, a few are here, some are on our Photos page and most are in the Albums. Please check them out - they are really great!!!!!!!!!!! New pictures from Shirley (Morris) Duncan for years 1985 and 2002. Thanks, Shirley!

Click above to see pictures of BHS students way back as far as 1921. These pictures have been given to us by Donald King, BHS Class of 1949. These photos are fascinating and I know everyone is going to love them.

Merle and Janet!

The last graduating class was in 1955 before BHS merged with the Montgomery City, Mo. High School. Charley Gregory was the last person to receive his diploma from BHS in 1955. Only 6 grads that year! We need a picture of that.

Lucille and Betty!

I want to thank Bobby for his assistance and for keeping me updated in re our classmates. I had signed up with Classmates and he first contacted me through them, about 3 years ago and asked me: "What have you been doing for the past 49 years? Isn't that wild? Like George said, "Doesn't that seem lke a couple of lifetimes?" Indeed it does! It was so wonderful to hear from Bobby and George. Also I have heard from Eileen, class of 1953. Eileen has been so good to tell others about this site. It is nice to know that most everyone is around and enjoying life in their golden years. Bobby has kept in touch with many of his friends from BHS and I was fortunate that he could fill me in on some of their general whereabouts. Not everyone registers with Classmates. Thanks again, Bobby and Eileen.

...................................

Lost in the 50s - I mean we had no microwaves, only a few in our town had TV, people in cities would gather outside in all kinds of weather to peer through the windows at the TV sets on display, we were all captivated - and we still are! We had no cell phones, no computers, no pagers, no central air or central heating, no jet planes, no satellites, no spacecraft, no printers, no antibiotics, no cat scans or any advanced medical equipment for diagnosis, no video games, no video cameras, only 8mm movie cameras, indoor plumbing was an option in the rural areas, no zip codes,no area codes, 2 letters and 6 digit phone numbers. No dishwashers. Postage stamps were 3 cents and Postcards were 1 cent (penny postcards). Pay phone calls were 5cents.. What do you remember?

Received the following "Do you remember..?" from Eileen Means...how cool!!! Just how much do YOU remember?Click Lisa's picture to find out!

How did we make it? I guess you don't miss what you've never had. We were more active and more physically fit!!!! Had prettier and more powerful cars. We didn't have crime as we know it today, never had to lock our doors and in all the time I lived in Bellflower, we never had a door key.I guess we Read more. Children had more respect for their parents. No Voice Mail. We were a blissfully unsophisticated lot, however, I wouldn't want to go back, to that time, would you? Then again, maybe we didn't know how good we had it!
