The Bread Box               2 Thessalonians  2:13                February 2004

13 But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

14 And it was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.

16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace,

17 comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.

Now that we have embraced the New Year, let us continue to move ahead with all confidence and courage with the knowledge that each one of us have been called to glory in Christ.

We have been chosen by God from the beginning to triumph, to live lives surrounded by the glory of God in Jesus Christ. It is His glory that lifts us each and every day, so that we may march ahead in life. God loves you and His desire is to commune with you each day. Allow Him to deposit His glory on you, spend some time alone with your creator, let Him love on you. He accepts you just as you are.

Of course the challenges we face in life will cloud this truth in your life. But God encourages us to stand firm in Jesus, hold on to the word of God. Hold on to it and by your faith, God will intervene. He is aware of your trials and your burdens.

2 Corinthians 4:17

17 For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, NAS

When those “light afflictions” are on you, remember the weight of the glory of Christ is there to remove the pain and worry. Allow him to saturate you this day with His glory.

 Psalms 21:5

5 His glory is great in Your salvation; Honor and majesty You have placed upon him.    NKJV

You must understand this; the salvation He has promised you is not just a future possession, but a present possession. His desire is to see you enjoy the goodness of God now here on earth. Salvation is the God given ability to enjoy the blessings today here on earth. The traditions we have been taught in the word of God are to equip each believer not only for eternity, but for the present life. As we surrender to Christ and recognize and embrace the continuing work of God’s grace in our lives thru the sanctifying work of God’s Holy Spirit, we will continue to advance. I would urge you to continue to believe and embrace the truth. Recognize the importance of obeying God’s Word.

God recognizes the value of perseverance and faith maintained in the face of persecutions and tribulations. As you stand firm and hold firmly to the truth of God’s Word, let your faith be unmoving. Believe that you will be delivered. The trials of today may seem to be beyond hope, but you must know there is hope and comfort given to us in Jesus Christ!

2 Tim 2:11-13   It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him;    12 If we endure, we shall also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us;    13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; for He cannot deny Himself. NAS

My desire is to encourage you and my prayer is that you may see the power and hope that is found in Jesus! The present suffering we find ourselves in is always followed by the glory!

May you have courage and endurance as you continue to serve out LORD and live out His purpose!

Yours For Service In His Kingdom;

Pastor Cesar

God bless you!!!
