THE LORD DESIRES YOU TO
TRUST IN HIM COMPLETELY WITH YOUR LIFE AND ALL THAT CONCERNS YOU.
Isa 57:13 When you
cry out, Let your
collection of idols deliver you. But the wind will carry them all away,
A breath will take them.
But he who puts his trust
in Me shall possess the land, and shall inherit My holy mountain."
NKJV
WHAT
DOES THE WORD TRUST IMPLY?
IN THE HEBREW THE WORD IS
….
OT:2620
chacah (khaw-saw'); a
primitive root; to flee for protection [compare
OT:982]; figuratively, to confide in:
KJV - have hope, make
refuge, (put) trust.

TRUST IS A VERB, IT IS A
ACTION,
IT MEANS TO DO SOMETHING
WITHOUT FEAR OR MISGIVING.
AND TO TRUST IS A CHOICE
WE MAKE,
AND WHEN IT INVOLVES GOD
IT IS A CHOICE WE MAKE TO OBEY HIM.
AND ALSO A CHOICE TO ALLOW
HIM TO EMBRACE US WITH HIS LOVE AS WELL.
LET ME ASK YOU SOME
QUESTIONS….
DO YOU FIND IT DIFFICULT
TO TRUST IN OTHERS?
DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM IN
TRUSTING PEOPLE?
ARE YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR GUARD, WONDERING IF YOU WILL BE BETRAYED?
DO YOU MAKE YOURSELF
DIFFICULT TO LOVE?
DO YOU MAKE IT DIFFICULT
FOR OTHERS TO GET NEAR YOU AND SEE THE REAL YOU?
IF YOU REFUSE TO TRUST
GOD, THIS COULD AFFECT OTHER RELATIONSHIPS IN YOUR LIFE.
SO MANY TIMES OUR EARTHLY
RELATIONSHIPS PARE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH FATHER GOD/
IN THE
KINGDOM OF GOD WE ARE CALLED TO WALK
BY FAITH,
AND THIS REQUIRES TRUSTING
GOD.
2 Corinthians 5:7
for
we walk by faith, not by sight—NAS
YOU MUST WALK BY BELIEVING
THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL IN SPITE OF TRIALS THAT YOU ARE WALKING THROUGH
TODAY.
YOU MUST BELIEVE IN THE
MANIFESTATION OF HIS POWER IN YOUR LIFE WITHOUT ACTUALLY SEEING IT FIRST.
FAITH IS THE ABILITY TO
BELIEVE IN THINGS THAT HAVE YET TO MANIFEST THEMSELVES IN THE PHYSICAL
REALM.
IT IS IN THE SPIRIT REALM
BUT BECAUSE WE ARE STILL IN THIS FLESHLY BODY, SOMETIMES IN OUR HUMAN
UNDERSTANDING WE DESIRE TO SEE IT FIRST BEFORE WE BELIEVE IT.
THIS WILL REQUIRE A TRUST
IN THE LORD, THAT PARES WITH
THE TRUST A YOUNG CHILD
GIVES A PARENT.
Psalms 20:7 Some
trust in chariots and some in horses,
but
we trust in the name of the LORD our God. (from New International
Version)
TRUST IN THE FATHERS LOVE,
IN HIS ABILITY AS OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, TO CARE AND PROTECT US.
TRUSTING IN THE FATHER
MEANS THAT WE HAVE TO BE IN A PLACE WHERE WE ARE WILLING TO RECEIVE HIS
LOVE.
THIS IS BECAUSE TO TRUST
SOMEONE IS TO LOVE THEM.
Ps
13:5 But I trust in your unfailing love;
my
heart rejoices in your salvation.
(from New International
Version)
LOVE
" The two Greek words for
"love" are distinct: fileoo, the love of impulse, ardent affection and
feeling;
agapaoo, the love of
esteem, regard.

WEBSTER'S DICTIONARY
DEFINES AN ARDENT LOVE IS
CHARACTERIZED BY WARMTH OF
FEELING, PASSIONATE, FIERY HOT GLOWING.
THIS TYPE OF LOVE IS WHAT
OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN LONGS TO POUR OUT ON HIS CHILDREN
Psalms 84:11 For
the LORD God is a sun and shield;
The LORD gives grace and
glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
NAS
IT IS HIS LOVE FOR YOU
THAT WILL FORM A BOND OF TRUST IN YOUR WALK WITH HIM.
ONE OF THE PLACES WE MUST
LEARN TO TRUST GOD IS WITH YOUR AND MINE CHILDREN.
THE INSTINCT OF A PARENT
IS TO HOVER OVER YOUR CHILDREN BUT SOMETIMES WE NEED TO TURN THEM OVER TO
GOD AND ALLOW HIM TO WORK IN THEIR LIVES.
YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND
THAT HE IS THEIR GOD TOO.
HE IS A BETTER PARENT THAT
WE COULD EVER BE.
ALL HE REQUIRES OF US IS
TO DO THE BEST WE CAN UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN OBEDIENCE TO
HIS WORD AND LET HIM DO THE REST.
INTERCEDE AND BELIEVE AND
TRUST IN THE LORD.
THERE IS A VEIL THAT WILL
KEEP US FROM WALKING IN A COMPLETE TRUST IN GOD.
THIS VEIL MANIFESTS ITSELF
IN A SUBTLE WAY.
AND THIS IS THE VEIL OF
PRIDE.
TO TRUST IN THE LORD, IS
TO CAST ALL BURDENS AND YOUR ANXIETIES ON THE OMNIPOTENT GOD.
TRUST IN THE LORD IS TO
HUMBLE OURSELVES BEFORE HIM.
1 Peter 5:5 You
younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe
yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the
proud, but gives grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves,
therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper
time,
7
casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.
NAS
WHEN PETER TELLS US TO
HUMBLE OURSELVES, HE GOES ON
TO TELL US IN A WAY
THAT FEW SEEM TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HE IS SAYING.
WE HUMBLE OURSELVES BY
CASTING OUR ANXIETY ON GOD, BECAUSE WE KNOW HE CARES ABOUT US.
THIS REQUIRES TRUST.
ANXIETY OR WORRY IS A FORM
OF PRIDE.
IT BASICALLY MEANS THAT WE
BELIEVE OUR PROBLEMS ARE TO BIG FOR GOD, SO WE THINK WE MUST DEAL WITH THEM
ON OUR OWN.
WHEN YOU HUMBLE YOURSELF
BEFORE SOMEONE, YOU ARE SAYING I TRUST YOU TO CARE FOR ME AND NOT ABUSE ME.
WE CAST OUR WORRIES ON
HIM, BECAUSE WE KNOW HE LOVES.
WE TRUST HIM TO INTERVENE
AND TO PROTECT US.
AND WE KNOW THIS BECAUSE
THE CROSS-PROVED HIS LOVE.
TRUST IS A VERB, MEANS TO
PUT YOUR FAITH IN ACTION.
GOD PUT IN ACTION HIS
FAITH BY SENDING HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON TO DIE ON THE CROSS AND REDEEM US.
HE PROVED HE TRUSTED US
WITH THE CROSS.
TRUST IS BRED FROM LIVING
CLOSE TO HIM AND WALKING INTIMATELY WITH HIM.
Psalms
56:4 In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere man do to me? NAS
Ps
91:2 I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress,
My
God, in whom I trust!" NAS
WHEN A PERSON HAS BEEN LET
DOWN BY MORTALS, WE FIND IT DIFFICULT TO ONCE AGAIN TRUST SOMEONE.
UNFORTUNATELY IT CAN BE
TRANSFERRED OVER TO THE RELATIONSHIP YOU HAVE WITH GOD.
BUT GOD IS NOT A MORTAL.
Numbers 23:19
"God is not a man, that
He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and
will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
NAS
JESUS WILL NEVER LET US
DOWN, HE IS THE ONLY ONE WE CAN TRUST TO ALWAYS KEEP HIS WORD.
WE MUST
KEEP OUR EYES ON HIM, NOT
MAN.
MAN WILL LET YOU DOWN, BUT
GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.
Jer. 17:7
"Blessed is the man who
trusts in the LORD
And
whose trust is the LORD. NAS
YOUR
ALREADY AHEAD IN THE BATTLE
JUST FOR TRUSTING HIM!
John
10:1-30
Our Lord
introduces this discourse in a most solemn manner, Verily, verily!-
Amen, amen!-it is true,
it is true!-a Hebraism for, This is a most important and interesting truth;
a truth of the utmost concern to mankind. At all times our Lord speaks what
is infallibly true; but when he delivers any truths with this particular
asseveration, it is either,
1. Because they are of
greater importance; or,
2. because the mind of
man is more averse from them; or,
3. because the small
number of those who will practice them may render them incredible. Quesnel.

AS THE GOOD SHEPHERD HE IS
INSTILLING A TRUST IN THOSE THAT WILL HEAR THIS MESSAGE.
HE IS THE GOOD AND GREAT
SHEPHERD, ONE TO BE TRUSTED.
YOU ARE SAFE IN HIS HANDS,
AND WHATEVER YOU FACE KNOW THAT FATHER GOD IS THERE IN THE MIDST OF YOUR
STRUGGLE
John 10:27 My sheep
listen to my voice
John 10:10 The
thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may
have life, and have it to the full. 11 "I am the good shepherd. The
good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. ; I know them, and they
follow me.
28 I give them eternal
life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.
(from New International Version)
AS YOU
CONTINUE YOUR WALK WITH JESUS, YOU WILL UNDOUBTEDLY MEET TRIALS THAT WILL
TEST YOUR TRUST IN HIM. AND I KNOW
THAT GOD WILL SEE YOU THRU. MAY GOD BLESS YOU!!
